The Season of Giving Has Begun

During this time of year we gather around the table with our loved ones with a bounty of food and share what we are thankful for. All over the world so many are without food and have fallen on difficult times. Dando Esperanza has decided to focus on our "Bags of Hope" campaign. Our volunteers in Guatemala gathered to create 150 bags full of food and essentials.

We are so grateful to our donors and their incredible generosity! This week we began to distribute these bags to those in need.

We can't wait to share more pictures with everyone during special time of year.

Thank you to all of those who are donating and sending us well wishes during this holiday season.

Meet Don Pedrito!

He’s been selling ice cream and spreading joy in his community for many years. Members of the community began posting online asking for help for their beloved Don Pedrito and we couldn’t think of anything we would love to do more then to help this amazing man.

Our incredible team in Guatemala met with him and asked what he needed and found that his ice cream cart was in bad shape. So we decided to make Don Pedrito a new cart to his specifications.This might seem small but for Don Pedrito it is everything! But don’t worry we’ve got a few more surprises in store for him. Ha estado vendiendo helados y dando alegría en su comunidad durante muchos años. Los miembros de la comunidad comenzaron a publicar en línea pidiendo ayuda para su amado Don Pedrito y no pudimos pensar en nada que nos gustaría hacer más que para ayudar a este hombre increíble.

Nuestro increíble equipo en Guatemala se reunió con él y le preguntó qué necesitaba y descubrió que su carrito de helados estaba en mal estado. Así que decidimos hacer de Don Pedrito un carro nuevo según sus especificaciones.

Leo's been busy shopping!

It may be summer but Dando Esperanza has been busy shopping for Christmas!

Every year we start as early as possible to ensure all of our gift arrive on time for our annual project, Hope During The Holidays. Check out Leo's latest shopping haul below! He checks all items and donations for quality and he clearly approves this time. We hope that the smiles from the children in Guatemala match Leo's happy grin!
