WHO WE ARE
Established in 2021 Dando Esperanza is the formation of an idea and actions that the Arevalo-Reyes family started many years before. This family came together to support their community in Suchitepequez, Guatemala, in times of need and especially during the holidays. Every year their goals grew bigger and more people became interested in helping.
Our founders met in Los Angeles, CA, he was from Guatemala and she was from California. They bonded over their love of helping others and after their many trips to Guatemala and with the support and inspiration from his family they decided to make the work of the Arevalo-Reyes family official and founded Dando Esperanza.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Dando Esperanza emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support a community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. We seek to support, empower, and provide quality resources to communities in Guatemala in a safe and secure environment. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the value we provide to those we serve.
Dando Esperanza sees the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: love, support, empowerment, and progress. Our primary goal is to better as many lives as we can.

Dando Esperanza was founded on the ideas of love, compassion and helping others. It was not founded for anyone's vanity or to be praised. For that reason we have decided to let our trusty dog be the face of our organization.
